Junior Open Water Diver (JOWD)
Welcome to the IDDA Junior Open Water Diver course!
Our Junior Open Water Diver course is the perfect introduction for all juniors who want to learn how to dive, but are not yet 14 years old. During the course you will learn the basic skills you need to dive safely and independently. You will receive theory lessons where you will learn a lot about equipment, the science of diving and safety underwater.
You will, of course, also spend time in the water perfecting your skills. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you’ll learn how to properly put on and use equipment, how to safely get in and out of the water, and how to behave underwater. You will start in a pool (or similar comfortable conditions) and continue in a lake or open water.
At the end of the course you will be able to perform dives to a depth of 18 meters. With the IDDA Open Water Diver certification in hand, you will be able to visit dive sites around the world and discover the beauty of the underwater world.
We look forward to accompanying you on your diving adventure.
